In cases where a small amount of tooth decay is present, we quickly act to remove the bacteria and demineralized tooth structure in order to prevent further destruction of the tooth. Upon removal of the diseased tooth structure, we bond tooth colored filling material to seal the tooth and ensure a return to normal function. In cases where the tooth anatomy promotes formation of tooth decay (deep grooves on molars and premolars) we recommend sealing those grooves with tooth colored material to prevent the formation of tooth decay.
